Argentina’s Model 1968 RCL is a recoilless gun that can fire 4.13 inch (105mm) high explosive (HE) rounds to an effective maximum range of 10,000 yards (9200m).
The effective range for High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) rounds is about 1300 yards (1200m).
With a muzzle velocity of 1312f/s (400m/s), the Model 1968’s hollow charge round can penetrate 7.9 inches (200mm) of armor.
The launcher barrel of the Model 1968 is 9.84 feet (3m) long, and the launcher weighs 875 lbs (397kg).
A 7.62mm spotting rifle is used to verify the accuracy of the operator’s aim before he fires off a round.
The basic unit is towed on a two wheel carriage. It can also be mounted on a tripod or on a tracked or wheeled vehicle.
The Model 1968 requires a crew of four to fire up to five rounds per minute. The blast danger zone behind the weapon is 44 yards (40m).
