The M65 anti-tank rocket launcher is a shoulder-fired anti-tank weapon that was developed by the Spanish company Instalaza for use by the Spanish Army.
It has an unusual caliber of 3.5inches (88.9mm).
The M65 is 64.6inches (1640mm) long when it is being operated, but it can be collapsed telescopically to a length of 33.5inches (850mm) when it is carried. The launcher weighs 13.2 pounds (6kg).
It uses an electromagnetic firing system. When the round is loaded, the firing system automatically links to the round.
A bipod is available for stability when moving targets are engaged. The sight unit has an adjustable light source, which is used for night sighting.
Three types of rounds can be fired by the M65. The CHM65 is a dedicated anti-tank round. The MB66 can be used against both armor and personnel. The FIM66 is a smoke projectile that can be used to screen advancing vehicles or troops.
